Why Your Business Needs a “Flexible Marketing Strategy” More Than Ever

Take a deep breath because this one is long and bland but probably THE MOST IMPORTANT!

….I know it’s not NEW news to you but Algorithms change overnight. Your Instagram post is getting tons of reach, and then all of a sudden… crickets. Your ad costs can spike, OR —the worst—you might wake up and realize your target audience has left the building… DO. NOT. BE. RIGID.

THE BOTTOM LINE : a flexible marketing strategy isn’t just a suggestion, it’s survival.

Platforms shift. So should you.

Your audience is always on the move. From TikTok trends to LinkedIn updates, what worked last year might not hit today. A flexible strategy means you’re watching those shifts and ready to pivot — try new things. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... LOOK. AT. THE. NUMBERS. They’ll tell you a story based on your business, your audience, your marketing channels.

Flexibility = smarter adjustments over time

A flexible plan doesn’t mean making random changes every week. It means giving yourself (or a dedicated team member) time to analyze, learn, and responsibly adjust as the data guides you.

Just to name a few:

  • A/B test those emails

  • Try a carousel reel

  • Use a poll on your post (or ask questions)

  • Add a new blog to your content strategy… not only helpful for your potential customers but MAXIMIZES your SEO

  • Adjust paid ad targeting mid-campaign

*** SIDE NOTE:  Be Vigilant! *** Pay close attention to what you’re actually getting when you hire marketing agencies or run paid ads. They work for you — so unless you’re seeing a return that exceeds what you budget for each month, there absolutely should be adjustments happening. I’m widely OCD about wasteful spend — it gives bad business energy. Don’t let your dollars disappear without data to back it up… we DON’T WASTE MONEY!

So long story long…

  • Rigid plans = wasted spend, and quite frankly ignorant (in the nicest way possible)

  • Flexible plans = smart, data-backed decisions that shift with your results, helping you invest where it actually matters.

There is no one-size-fits-all. Every single business is in a different season,

MY BEST ADVICE (...and this is usually a slow burn)  Stand out by telling your story as the business owner — because nothing makes a business stand out more than being human.

I found a great resource for more info on flexible marketing (and the fundamentals)… pour yourself a tall glass of wine and get comfortable — she’s a long one but data-backed and insightful.
